Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm for Season of Docs.

We’re sorry to say that your organization’s application for Season of Docs
was not successful this year. Because 2019 is the program’s pilot year, we
were only able to accept 50 organizations out of the almost 200
applications submitted. There were many high quality applications, so the
selection of organizations was not easy.

Please do stay in touch with the progress of Season of Docs, and let us
know if you have any questions or feedback by emailing
[hidden email]. We are hoping to grow the
program's capacity in subsequent years, so please apply again next year.

Hi,

I sent out an email yesterday to the organization emails entered into the
"Open source organization's email address" field in the organization
application; however, I received some email bounces and emails saying they
did not receive a notification. Consequently, I am email again and cc'ing
the primary and alternative organization admins directly.

Thank you for your interest and support of Season of Docs.

I appreciate if you can tell us more about why we are applications are not
be accepted.
Or tell us what is the gap between our application and other accepted
applications?

I think your suggestion may be of great help to our next preparation!

Hi Jincheng,

I think another way to get those project ideas completed is to make them
easily findable in the Apache Flink website. Please, consider adding the
link to those project ideas or Jira issues here [1] with a message "We
currently need the following documentation to be added/updated/improved" or
something similar.. really up to the community. To solicit openly for
contributions (especially docs) is more effective.
