Switching from an online store to dropshipping on marketplaces

Jedalik
Me and my wife ran our own online store for a while but it just never took off the way we hoped. Too much to manage, not enough customers coming through, and the revenue never justified the effort we were putting in. Decided to pivot and give dropshipping on marketplaces a proper shot instead. The model makes more sense for where we're at right now. The question is, what kind of products are actually worth selling these days?

Product selection is where most people either set themselves up for success or waste months going nowhere. Chasing whatever seems trendy at any given moment is a trap, because by the time you're set up the wave has usually passed. Better to look at categories with consistent demand year-round, decent margins and suppliers who can actually fulfill orders reliably. Home goods, pet products and fitness accessories have held up well across different market conditions.

Jumping into dropshipping without doing proper research on what's actually selling is how people end up pushing products nobody wants. Niches shift and what made sense two years ago can be a dead end today.
