Apache Flink vs MapReduce

My name is Vikram and I'm a student from Bangalore , India . Of lately ,
I've been drawn to Apache Flink and I have few queries . I hope you could
spare the time to take a look at them .

I ran a few jobs on Flink and MapReduce and found that flink always out
beats  MapReduce . Could you please tell me how its been possible ? Even if
you could direct me to the appropriate resources, I could research .
