The cassandra-driver-core uses codahale metrics to expose various metrics regarding errors, requests, resources, and the like: [https://docs.datastax.com/en/drivers/java/3.4/index.html?com/datastax/driver/core/Metrics.html]

These are very valuable to ensure there is visibility to the health of the Cassandra Connector.
