Adding API such as {{and}} in CEP's pattern API will let us define patterns like {{(A -> B) and (C -> D)}}.
Its usage looks like
{noformat}
Pattern left = Pattern.begin("A").followedBy("B");
Pattern right = Pattern.begin("C").followedBy("D");
Pattern pattern = left.and(right)
{noformat}
If this makes sense, we should also support APIs such as {{or}} and {{not}}.
