{{CommonTestUtils.createTempDirectory()}} encourages a dangerous design pattern with potential concurrency issues in the unit tests which could be solved by using the following pattern instead.

        public TemporaryFolder tempFolder = new TemporaryFolder();

We should therefore remove {{CommonTestUtils.createTempDirectory()}}.
