The JavaDocs of the {{State}} interface (and related classes) often mention keyed state only as the state interface was only exposed for keyed state until Flink 1.1. With the new {{CheckpointedFunction}} interface, this has changed and the docs should be adjusted accordingly.

Would be nice to address this with 1.2.0 so that the JavaDocs are updated for users. [~[hidden email]] or [~aljoscha] maybe you can have a look at this briefly?
