For developers interested in Apache Flink it would be very helpful to deploy an Apache Flink cluster on a set of virtualized machines, in order to get used to the configuration of the system and the development of basic algorithms.

This kind of setup could also be used for testing purposes.

An example implementation on basis of Ansible and Vagrant has been published unter https://github.com/kempa-liehr/flinkVM/tree/master/flink-vm.
