Jackson version in use (2.4.2) is rather old (and not even the latest patch from minor version), so it'd be make sense to upgrade to bit newer. Latest would be 2.7.4, but at first I propose going to 2.5.5.

All tests pass, but if there are issues I'd be happy to help; I'm author of Jackson project.
