This does not compile:

val columnName = "bool_column"
table.filter($(column) === true)  {code}
 
{color:#333333}This does:{color}
{code:java}
val columnName = "bool_column"
table.filter(Expressions.$(column) === true)    {code}
 
{color:#333333}There's nothing obviously documented to using the later.{color}
