In some systems, flink 0.9-SNAPSHOT gives an error (org.apache.flink.client.program.ProgramInvocationException: Could not build up connection to JobManager.) when the taskmanager tries to connect to the jobmanager.
This is because the taskmanager cannot resolve the IP where the jobmanager runs.
