i find flink 1.7 also has  universal Kafka connector ,if the kakfa-connector  support assgin partition ,the the kakfa-connector should prefect.  such as a kafka topci has  3 partition, i only use 1 partition,but i should read all partition then filter.this method Not only waste resources but also relatively low efficiency.so i suggest FlinkKafkaConsumer should support assgin partition
