Should I hire a broker for buying a flat in the UAE property market

FARAON
I'm confused. I've been looking for an apartment in Dubai for about three months now, and I'm still not sure whether using a broker really saves time or just adds stress. Is it worth paying a commission if I can browse listings myself?

Based on my personal experience buying real estate, I can say that the quality of brokers varies greatly. Good ones knew about off-market deals, while bad ones simply forwarded ads you'd already seen online. It's best to look for a specialist through recommendations.

No broker will automatically protect you from overpaying, it's your responsibility in any case. Before signing anything, spend a week researching real apartment prices in the area you're interested in. There's enough publicly available transaction data in Dubai to get a rough idea yourself. You can check sales information on the DLD website for free. For example, you can view current listings for apartments for sale here https://atvir.com/uae/residential-complexes/apartments This way, you can get a realistic price range before negotiating with anyone.
