Hello,
anyone who has opened a PR recently probably noticed that Travis is
taking a weee bit longer to run the builds.
This is due to Travis (rightfully) downgrading our machines (we had
beefy machines that we shouldn't have had), without any prior notice to
speak of.
Combined with the feature-freeze rush the machines we have just cannot
keep up.
Getting more machines or upgrading them takes longer than we'd like
because at this scale everything happens via personal
mails/negotiations, and the offered terms are ... well, let's call them
undesirable.
Now, Robert has been working for the past weeks on migrating our builds
to azure, and currently we are able to (and have been) running azure
builds in parallel to all PRs.
This effort provided us with an alternative that we can use for the time
being.
As such CiBot will from now on link both the Travis and Azure builds in
each PR.
The builds can be rerun separately if desired (@flinkbot run
[travis|azure]).
Do note that, afaik, e2e test runs cannot be run on azure.
If you spot anything fishy on the side of azure or how CiBot works,
please ping either Robert or me.
