Is high ticket dropshipping worth it?

I've been running a dropshipping business on marketplaces for a while now, but profits aren't great. Too many people selling the same cheap stuff, margins are razor thin. I'm thinking about switching to higher-end electronics where there's way less competition. The ticket prices are obviously bigger, but I'm not sure if the effort is worth it. Anyone doing this? Is there actually decent profit in high ticket items or am I just chasing a dead end?

Bigger ticket items mean fewer sales but better margins per unit. The challenge is you need more trust from customers since they're dropping serious money. Your store needs to look professional, customer service has to be on point, and shipping better be reliable. Returns are also a bigger headache because one return can wipe out profits from several sales. Plus you might need more capital upfront for advertising since the conversion rate is lower.

Selling expensive products takes more work than moving cheap items, but the profit per sale makes it worth considering. You're dealing with fewer transactions overall, which means less daily grind once things are running.
