Bringing Code in Shape for Release
- Codebase is renamed and file licenses / headers adjusted to Apache style
- Artifacts are in Apache namespace
- Robert has requested credentials to add Flink artifacts to Apache's
Maven repositories.
Trademark / Name / Legal
- Legal has asked to do a release
- Will push for relase now
First Incubator Release
- Suggestion to do a feature freeze (only fix real bugs now)
- Start the legal process for a release soon, it will take a while
- Concurrent (to getting release clearance) work on "critical
improvements" and features in separate branch
- Successive release to come soon after the first release
- To start ML thread to get concensus on the suggestion
- Robert has agreed to be release manager
Constribution of Stremaing Code
- Will also go into the branch for successive release
- Merged into addons subproject initially
- CCLA possibly needed (in addition to ICLAs), would definitely put things
on the safe side
- SGA has been explored
- Gyula/Marton to see whether they can get CCLA
