# Release vote for Flink 1.6.1 and 1.5.4
The community is currently voting on the next bug fix releases Flink 1.6.1
[1] and Flink 1.5.4 [2]. Please help the community by giving the release
candidates some exposure.
# Open source review process
Stephan kicked off a discussion how to improve the open source review
process [3]. In particular, it discusses how to handle the increasing load
of PR work and how to make the experience better for contributors. Chime in
to voice your opinion.
# PubSub connector contribution
Richard opened a PR to add a PubSub connector to Flink [4]. Currently it is
in the review phase and the community could need some help with reviewing
[5]. Especially if you have experience with PubSub connectors your input
would be tremendously helpful.
