# Flink Forward Berlin 2018 over
Last week the community met in Berlin for the 4th edition of Flink Forward
2018 [1]. It was great to see people coming from near and far to learn from
others and discuss Flink related topics. For those of you who couldn't make
it: The recordings of the talks should be published in the next couple of
days.
# New committer: Gary Yao
The community added Gary Yao as a new committer [2]. Gary helped a lot with
the Flip-6 effort and started the Jepsen-based testing framework.
